So, I haven't been doing so hot on my dieting or working out this past week. School and work has been crazy! But I had to post today because I looked in the mirror today and the gross stretch marks on my stomach that I have just developed in the past 6 months are starting to go away! Of course, they're still there, but not as red and noticeable. I am so happy! These are what I've been so ashamed of, and what let me know that I have really hit a weight that needed to be changed. It may not seem like a big deal, but it makes me wanna keep working harder and trying to make changes. Anyone else have these small moments of victory that make you wanna keep pushing forward?

Weigh In Numero Uno
Starting Weight: 217.2 lbs. (Sept. 28, 2010)
October 3, 2010: 214.4 lbs.
OFFICIAL WEIGH IN ONE: 211.4 lbs.
Total: -5.8 lbs in 3 weeks
I will post measurements tonight!
So I started this diet and exercise plan a few weeks ago, and started out doing really well. Fall break threw me off schedule so I was scared to even weigh! But I'm picking up the slack and am focusing on getting healthy and losing weight. I just finished my workout a few minutes ago...my goal was to run/walk 4 miles, but I only made it 2 miles :( But that's okay, I just have to build my stamina back up.
I started drinking a protein shake in skim milk after my workouts, but I have heard that protein shakes will make you gain weight. Has anyone had any lucky with that?
Anyways, that's all for now...I'll be posting my measurements tonight! Until then...

I now have a blog...Woo Hoo!
Yay for my new blog! This is exciting for me. I have no idea if anyone will ever read this, or if it will ever matter, but I am glad to have an outlet. So, in a nutshell, this will be the story of my weight loss. So here it is. I have always been a "big" girl. When I was 15, a boy I was CRAZY about broke my heart, and I vowed to get even. I decided the best way to do that, was to make him wish he had never let me go. The good news: Over the next 6 months, I lost 40 pounds. I went from a size 14 to a size 4. The bad news: I did it by starving myself and overexercising. Even at my smallest, I was unhappy with how I looked. I continued this endless circle of starvation until I left home for college; that's when it got bad. I gained all the weight back in 4 months, plus some. Fast forward 2 years, I now weigh almost 90 pounds more than I did at my smallest. My NP (nurse practitioner) instructed me to lose weight due to high blood pressure and a risk of developing diabetes.
